This week we're exploring the Route 4! The Route 4 is SEPTA City Bus Route the runs from Broad & Pattison in South Philadelphia to Fern Rock Transportation Center. On a typical weekday, this route makes 116 trips and carries 7,415 passengers.
Service on the Route 4 began on February 19, 2012 when the former Route C was split into two separate routes. The Route 4 provides service between Fern Rock Transportation Center and NRG Station in South Philadelphia, while Route 16 connects the Cheltenham and Ogontz Route and City Hall.
The Route 4 is a great alternative to the Broad Street Line for getting down to the South Philly Sports Complex. The Route 4 drops passengers right at Broad & Pattison, which is a short walk from the Wells Fargo Center, Lincoln Financial Field, and Citizen's Bank Park. Sports bars XFINITY Live and McFadden's are also nearby, where you can flash your SEPTA Key and get Perks!
Whether you're headed to South Philly, North Philly, or Center City, hop the Route 4 and let SEPTA do the driving!
